Senate Bill 5346 aims to improve administrative simplification

In the 2009 session, The Washington state Legislature passed Senate Bill (SB) 5346, designed to streamline and standardize administrative interactions between payers and providers. The bill's provisions apply to public and private payers, hospitals, physician practices and many other types of providers.

In accordance with the bill, supported by the Washington Healthcare Forum and many other private sector constituents, Insurance Commissioner Kreidler appointed the Washington Healthcare Forum and OneHealthPort™ to lead the bill's implementation. These organizations have enlisted the WorkSMART Institute to promote voluntary adoption of the bill.
