Asuris prepares for HIPAA 5010
Asuris is preparing to be fully-compliant with the Federally-mandated HIPAA 5010 guidelines by the compliance date of December 31, 2011. X12 Version HIPAA 5010 replaces Version 4010A1 currently used to electronically report and inquire about health care services.
Important dates for HIPAA 5010:
- December 31, 2011 - Deadline for converting to Version 5010
- January 1, 2012 - Transactions via Version 4010A1 no longer accepted
We are currently completing the high-level design and application requirement phase of our conversion. We encourage you to speak with your practice management vendor or clearinghouse to determine what they are doing to prepare and what your practice needs to do to prepare as well. More information about this upcoming implementation will be shared as it becomes available.
