TriWest
Online behavioral health course
In cooperation with the University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center at Fort Worth, TriWest is offering a free, online course for primary care and behavioral health providers to assist TRICARE beneficiaries with post-deployment behavioral health issues. The course includes information to aid in the identification and treatment of post-combat mood and anxiety disorders. The course content is a video of a live post-traumatic stress disorder seminar. Providers who complete the course will receive two hours of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits.
The course includes information about:
- Common reactions to stress and trauma in a forward-deployment setting
- Different diagnoses that post-deployed soldiers may present with in a clinical setting
- Treatment options for post-deployed personnel with mood or anxiety disorders
