HEDIS® medical record review coming for Washington Medicaid members
The 2009 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) medical record reviews will begin in March and continue through May. Asuris will continue to use Outcomes Health Information Solutions, LLC, to contact offices and collect data using a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act-compliant process. If needed information cannot be identified through claims data, select patient records may be reviewed on site, or a request for records will be made by fax or mail.
Participation in this important quality assurance and improvement activity is a contract requirement for Asuris physicians, other health care professionals and facilities. Your cooperation during this brief data collection period is appreciated.
