Offer your employees help in times of need
Health is more than check-ups, exercise and a good diet. How well we deal with life's challenges is a key component of healthy living. That's why Asuris offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP helps employees regain the balance needed to live a healthy life and be more productive in the workplace.
What is the EAP?
It's a service that helps employees deal with the challenges they face in any of their many roles: employee, parent, spouse, child, friend, partner and even consumer.
What is the value of the EAP?
It puts professional support in the hands of employees quickly, conveniently and without cost to them. The goal: to help them resolve their problems early on -- before they get worse.
What does the EAP provide?
- Counseling Up to four sessions per incident for almost any issue, such as parenting problems, relationship issues, anxiety and work stress.
- 24-hour Crisis Help Toll-free access during a crisis situation.
- eAccessTM Convenient access to online consultations with licensed counselors.
- Will Preparation A free, easy-to-use kit sent to employee for completion and then returned for review by a legal professional.
- Legal Services A half-hour consultation, followed by a 25% discount on legal fees. (Legal services are not provided for any employer-related issues.)
- Mediation Services Free consultations for personal, family and non-work-related issues, such as divorce, neighbor disputes or real estate (a 25% discount is available if a professional mediator is retained).
- Financial Services Help with debt counseling, budgeting, and college or retirement planning. (A discount of 25% is available if a local CPA is retained.)
- Parenting Services Professional help with school issues, teenager challenges, adoption, college planning, summer camps, day care and more.
- Adult and Elder-care Services Advice and resources about transportation, meals, exercise programs, activities, in-home care, daytime care, houseing and more.
- Personal Advantage A life-balance Web site that offers interactive resources for solving and preventing a range of problems.
- Home Ownership Program Free support and information about making smarter choices when shopping for a new home, including making financing and/or refinancing decisions, selling a home and relocating.
Who is eligible?
Health plan members whose employers have selected the EAP benefit. Dependents are also eligible, whether they are members or not.
How much does it cost?
The EAP is a low-cost benefit for employers, and the services themselves are free to employees and family members. Ask your Asuris representative or Agent for specific pricing.
How do I purchase the EAP?
Simply tell your Asuris representative or Agent that you'd like to include the EAP in your total package. You'll sign just one contract and receive just one bill.
