COB change letters going out
As you may remember from an earlier announcement, we are changing the way we process claims in relation to Coordination of Benefits (COB) for dates of service beginning Jan. 1, 2008. We are making this change to comply with a new rule issued by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner. The rule applies to all employer groups and Individual plans (except ERISA self-funded business). We will soon mail letters to all impacted groups and individuals explaining this change. Your clients should receive their letters before the end of November.
