Walgreens® moves Portland mail-order service to Tempe
Effective Sept. 1, 2007, mail-order prescriptions currently filled at the Walgreens mail facility in Portland, Oregon, will be transferred to that company’s facility in Tempe, Arizona. Prescriptions on file at the Portland facility will automatically be transferred to Tempe. Our members will need to take no action unless it is normally the time of year when they would have to get a new prescription from their doctor.
We are sending a letter to affected members to explain this change. We will include a Postal Prescription Services (PPS) brochure in case a member decides to have their prescription filled locally. If so, they would need to get a new prescription from their doctor, fill out the form and mail it, along with their prescription and appropriate copay/coinsurance amount, directly to PPS.
