08/21/2007  Individual $1,750 deductible PPO Catastrophic plan effective Oct. 1

We are excited to announce that a $1,750 deductible PPO Catastrophic plan will be immediately available to serve the Individual market starting with effective dates of Oct. 1, 2007.

This plan provides the same benefits as the $1,500 deductible PPO Catastrophic plan that we stopped selling in July due to the new Washington state mandate governing the definition of "catastrophic health plans." The only difference is that the Catastrophic plan available for an Oct. 1 effective date has a $1,750 deductible and $3,500 out-of-pocket maximum to comply with the mandate.

The $1,750 deductible PPO Catastrophic plan features the same values and strengths that our other Individual plans deliver to our members. Please note that this plan offers a low annual out-of-pocket maximum and a low coinsurance amount to ensure protection. The plan also includes all of the extra values Asuris membership brings:
