09/16/2011   U.S. HealthWorks rejoins Participating, PPO and Asuris TruAdvantageTM networks

U.S. HealthWorks provides readily accessible urgent care (non-emergency) services to communities as an alternative to traditional emergency rooms. We're happy to announce that U.S. HealthWorks has rejoined our Participating, PPO and Asuris TruAdvantageTM networks of providers.

Recent studies suggest that a significant number of patients who visit U.S. hospital emergency rooms could be safely treated at urgent care centers or retail medical clinics instead. Members treated at ER alternatives generally pay a lower copay and/or coinsurance for the care they receive.

Our members looking for the closest ER alternative, including U.S. HealthWorks, can log onto myAsuris.com and locate their closest ER alternative by looking at My Navigator, then ER Alternatives, and hitting Search.

U.S. HealthWorks has 17 urgent care centers in Washington (14 in the Puget Sound area and three in the Spokane area) that treat minor injuries and illnesses, such as allergies, asthma (mild), colds and flu, contact dermatitis, cuts and wounds, infections, insect bites, minor burns, nausea, pink eye, rashes, sprains and strains, and urinary tract infections to name a few.

Clinics are open extended hours and weekends. They accept walk-in patients with no appointment necessary.

We're pleased that our urgent care facility options now include U.S. HealthWorks. If you have any questions, please talk to your Asuris Sales contact.
