09/16/2011   Changes to Asuris 1 to 99 group product suite focuses on most popular plans

Our Asuris EmbarkSM plan with unlimited office visits and Asuris HSA Healthplan 2.0SM account for the overwhelming majority of our enrollment with employer groups sized 1 to 99. In an effort to streamline our product offerings and focus resources and support on the plans our customers choose most frequently, we'll make several changes effective Jan. 1, 2012.

  • The Asuris MotivateSM plan will be discontinued. We'll close this plan to new sales and renewing groups. Groups currently on Motivate will be mapped to a plan that most closely matches their current benefit design. As required by the OIC, we'll notify impacted employers and members by letter. Group renewal packets will outline these changes as well. No GMA is required for groups that are moving to the mapped plan and making no benefit or administrative changes. Groups may choose a different plan by submitting a completed GMA by the 15th of the month prior to renewal.

  • The Asuris VantageSM plan will be discontinued. We'll close this plan to new sales and renewing groups. Groups currently on Vantage will be mapped to a plan that most closely matches their current benefit design.

  • The Embark options for four and six office visits will be discontinued. Groups will no longer be able to select the option of covering either four or six office visits at 100% before the deductible. All plans will provide coverage of unlimited office visits at 100% before the deductible is met. Groups that currently cover four or six office visits will be moved into the unlimited option upon renewal. We don't expect this change to impact rates.
Making these modifications to our 1 to 99 product suite will allow us to focus on new benefit configurations and strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of smaller employers.

While there are relatively few groups impacted by these changes, we appreciate your support in answering questions about the transition and the plans we continue to offer—our most popular, Embark and HSA Healthplan 2.0.
