Asuris TruAdvantageTM Annual Wellness Visit program launched
We're pleased to announce the successful launch of the Annual Wellness Visit program. This service promotes a no-cost opportunity for Medicare Advantage members and their providers to discuss lifestyle changes that can prevent many chronic conditions and lead to healthier lives. The program aligns with the 2010 Affordable Care Act, which provides annual preventive examinations at no out-of-pocket cost to our members.
We told Asuris TruAdvantage primary care providers about the Annual Wellness Visit program earlier this year. To encourage them to reach out to their eligible patients, we're offering them an incentive payment in addition to the standard reimbursement for each wellness visit. To qualify for the incentive, providers must provide us with wellness-visit chart notes.
We mailed letters to all eligible members in April to announce this program. Each beneficiary received a pamphlet explaining how it works and the importance of routine screenings, along with a section where the physician can record important information for the patient to remember.
