09/06/2007   Asuris MedAdvantage Name to Change to Asuris TruAdvantage™

The Asuris MedAdvantage product name will officially change to Asuris TruAdvantage on Jan. 1, 2008. The name change is required due to a recent regulatory review.

More importantly, we think that Asuris TruAdvantage better describes the kind of product it is, as it truly is an advantage for people on Medicare to have the peace of mind that this coverage provides.

Existing members will notice no difference to their plan except for the name change, which we will announce in a letter to members later this year. They will be told to expect to see the new name on letters, EOBs and other materials prior to Jan. 1. Updated sales materials will be available to you starting in October.

For prospective members, this Medicare Advantage product is still the same great choice for Medicare-eligibles who are looking for a PPO product that offers comprehensive benefits, such as lower out-of-pocket costs, a $500 dental benefit, Asuris Advantages discounts on vision and hearing services and the option to purchase built-in Part D prescription drug coverage.

As you know, Medicare products experience enhancements and rate changes each year. Although the name change brings with it no associated benefit, network or rate changes, the plan will experience the scheduled 2008 changes, just as do all Medicare Advantage plans on the market.
