07/19/2007   Washington mandate changes implemented for Individual Plan members

Asuris strives to help our members navigate health care while responding to the changing legal requirements in a timely fashion. We truly appreciate your commitment and dedication to inform and advise your clients as several new Washington health insurance mandates become effective on July 22, 2007.

We have fully complied with the legislative changes and immediately made several key changes to our Individual plan options:

• We have suspended new sales of the PPO Catastrophic $1,500 deductible plan.
• We have revised the Standard Health Questionnaire.
• We are planning to mail riders to our members to notify them of these legislative changes.

In this special edition of Agent News, we have summarized the mandated changes effective July 22, 2007, and explained what we have done to comply with those changes. In the next scheduled edition of Agent News in August, we plan to provide you with more information regarding the changes we are making to our Individual portfolio to better serve the market for catastrophic plans.
