When to make or not make changes on a member's behalf
We appreciate your help when submitting changes—such as new addresses and changes to billing methods—on behalf of our members. However, there are some changes that members need to make themselves to prevent any legal risks.
Changes that need to be made directly by the member are:
-
Account cancelations
-
Effective-date changes
-
Policy changes
-
Addition of EFT
If you are having difficulty obtaining a cancel request from a member, please let us know so we can mark our files "per broker, member intends to let policy lapse." We do not report to credit agencies, so allowing the policy to lapse would not have a negative affect on the member’s credit.
If you have questions about making changes on the member’s behalf, please talk with Asuris Sales contact.
