12/18/2006  Lescol® and Lescol XL® move to non-preferred status Jan. 1

Starting Jan. 1, 2007, Lescol® and Lescol XL® will be non-preferred medications. Therefore, they will be covered at the non-preferred copay level. We are notifying members currently on Lescol and Lescol XL about this change. Preferred options for Lescol and Lescol XL include simvastatin (Zocor®), pravastatin (Pravachol®), and lovastatin (Mevacor®). These options are covered at the lowest (generic) copay level.
