Asuris Brings WellspringSM to the Workplace
Company launches an integrated health and wellness program for employers

(Spokane) – To help Eastern Washington businesses engage their employees in healthier lifestyles, Asuris Northwest Health has introduced WellspringSM, an integrated health and wellness program for employers with 51 or more employees.

“Health and wellness programs in the workplace are becoming more vital to a business’s success every day,” said Brady Cass, manager of sales and renewals for Asuris.  “When employers give their employees tools and rewards for good lifestyle habits, the result is a healthier, more productive work force.”

Wellspring provides a full suite of workplace wellness programs that include health risk assessments and health coaching, 24-hour nurse advice, and complete fitness, weight-loss and smoking cessation programs.  Employees receive incentive points when they use the program, which can be redeemed for gift cards and services from a broad catalogue of national and local merchandisers.

When combined with affordable, consumer-directed coverage, these benefits provide employees the tools to take charge of their health care decisions and lead healthier lifestyles.

The health management programs include:

Health Coach—Provides members with a personal connection to someone who can help them assess current habits, set goals to achieve better health, and help them monitor progress along the way. Using a toll-free number, members can call upon the coach for education, goal setting, encouragement and support.

Asuris Engine—Empowers members to take charge of their health care. This interactive tool provides advice, navigation and rewards to promote proactive behavior on the part of the member.

Health Risk Assessments—Helps members understand health risk factors, and helps Asuris provide care options based on the member’s risk profile.

CareEnhance®—Confidential, 24-7 access to information and advice. Talk to a registered nurse any time of day or night. AudioHealth Library provides general health information on nearly 1,200 topics. The audio library is also available online.

Special Beginnings—Offers personalized monitoring of an expectant mother’s care throughout her pregnancy, along with 24-hour, toll-free telephone access to registered nurses who specialize in working with mothers and newborns, including a full set of educational tools.

Based in Spokane, Asuris Northwest Health offers a full range of health care coverage options, including dental and vision coverage, for Eastern Washington employers and individuals.  Asuris also offers Medicare supplemental plans and Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, and provides member access to more than 19,000 health care providers. For more information, visit the company’s Web site at www.asuris.com. Asuris Northwest Health, a not-for-profit health plan, is a subsidiary of Regence BlueShield, a leading health plan in Washington.
